HIV/AIDS AND BANKING STABILITY IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

We argue that the recent large increase in deposits’ turnover in many developing countries with high HIV/AIDS prevalence is associated with the spread of the disease. The point is that the need to pay for individual treatments force large‐scale withdrawals of households’ deposits, and that those large withdrawals put the banking industry at risk. In a standard demand‐deposit model where the HIV/AIDS prevalence among depositors is random, we show that (1) the probability of a large‐scale banking failure without a bank run increases as the odds of any prevalence level increases, and (2) it is always optimal to deposit, and thus to accept the risk of banking failure, to maintain long‐term investments in place.     

岩土边坡稳定性的遗传算法分析

非线性优化方法主要缺陷在于当边坡土层为非均质复杂条件时,无法保证搜索到安全系数的全局最小解,而只能搜索到局部极小解。基于遗传算法,建立了搜索岩土边坡稳定性分析最小安全系数和滑移面中心坐标与半径的数值方法。问题的可行解在变量搜索区间内搜索,包括滑弧的圆心坐标和半径。数值模拟结果表明,遗传算法搜索到的边坡稳定最小安全系数与理论解是一致的。     

借鉴日本银行经验 维护区域金融稳定

国际金融危机的爆发,为中央银行维护金融稳定提出了新的挑战。在新的形势下,充分借鉴日本银行对金融机构实施考核的方式,采用稳健性现场评估等新的措施,拓展我国基层央行维护金融稳定的工作方式,将有利于对系统性风险因素的早发现、早报告、早处置,最大限度降低国家维护金融稳定的总体成本。     

压路机碾压荷载在施工期对路基拼接变形影响的数值分析

以合肥铁路枢纽改造工程为研究对象,路基拼接中应用的不同压路机碾压荷载为研究目标,通过FLAC软件就不同路基高度下应用不同压路机荷载对既有线列车安全运营和路基稳定性的影响进行了数值模拟计算。结果表明,同一路基高度,不同压路机荷载作用下,坡脚A点和新、老路基搭接处B点的垂直变形增量随压路机荷载的增大而增大;相同压路机荷载下随着路基高度的增加,老路基面、坡脚点以及新老路基搭接处的垂直方向变形与路基高度不成线性关系,采用6 m高度的路基更为合理,有利于线路列车运行的安全性和路基整体的稳定性。     

开敞式泄水闸稳定应力计算

对某开敞式泄水闸进行了整体抗滑稳定和基底应力计算,计算结果表明泄水闸的结构布置是合理的。     

When imperfect collusion is profitable

This paper studies cartel stability under the assumption that member firms can choose intermediate degrees of collusion as well as the joint-profit-maximizing solution in determining the quota to be produced by each firm. After showing that firms can increase the number of participants by decreasing the degree of collusion, I prove that individual members' profits are maximized when firms choose a (possibly low) degree of collusion such that all firms in the industry want to take part in the cartel. More precisely, if the number of firms in the industry is four or less, then all of them want to take part in the cartel even if the maximum degree of collusion is chosen (i.e., the monopoly output is produced); if the number of firms is greater than four, firms will still create an industry-wide cartel but they will produce a higher quantity than the monopoly output.     

区间时变时滞线性系统稳定性准则的改进

研究了区间时变时滞线性系统的稳定性问题,基于Lyapunov泛函方法,使用新的处理技术估计Lyapunov泛函导数的上界,以线性矩阵不等式形式给出了系统稳定性准则的改进结果。所给稳定性准则比已有结果具有更低的保守性,数值实例表明了结果的有效性。     

锚固地梁技术在人工边坡治理中的应用研究

峡口码头高切坡,处于硬软岩性的交接部位,岩体中裂隙发育,多为层状结构和碎裂结构,在切坡初期,常产生规模不等的滑移破坏。基于小变形的假设和有限元分析基础上,确定工程治理措施,是紧密结合工程实践的重要课题。     

基于Logistic共生模型的汽车园集群研究及稳定性分析

汽车园集群内不同类型企业间的关系类似于种群生态学中不同种群间的相互作用,文章通过逻辑斯蒂(Logistic)模型描述汽车园集群内不同企业间的相互作用。总结了集群内平等型和依托型两种共生模式,求解并分析稳定条件。对汽车园集群这一汽车流通业最新模式的研究具有一定指导意义。
